BrassCraft Restructures To Increase Focus On New Product
Development and Market Responsiveness
NOVI, MI - Building on its legacy of plumbing innovation, BrassCraft has reorganized its marketing and product development teams to provide a dedicated focus on new product development and growth in their core water and gas product lines.

Product Development will lead adjacent product expansion within current product lines. Separate Water and Gas Product Development groups will focus on business planning, marketing initiatives, engineering innovations and product line extension. Supporting all groups, Packaging Engineering will continue to evolve packaging design, respond to market needs and push green initiatives.

“This reorganization brings simplicity, efficiency, and accountability, while positioning us for success within the ever-changing marketplace.” says Jeff Jollay, Vice President of Marketing and Product Development.

Key appointments include: Steve Tokarz, Director, New Product Development; Patty Stinson, Director, Business Development Gas Products; Mahesh Cheerla, Director, Business Development Water Products; and Tod Mapes, Director, Packaging Engineering.

Steve Tokarz will lead the innovation process by delivering new product concepts beyond BrassCraft’s core offerings. Additionally, he will continue to support BrassCraft’s risk management activities, and participate in industry steering groups to drive codes and standards and lead water and energy conservation initiatives.

With the goal of strengthening BrassCraft’s commitment to the Gas Products category, Patty Stinson will direct the Gas Products Group and pursue opportunities for new product opportunities. She will also continue to serve on the company’s product steering committee. Mahesh Cheerla will lead the Water Products Group, working to advance BrassCraft’s core stop and water connection businesses. His group will also be responsible for identifying line enhancement and expansion opportunities.

Todd Mapes will continue to lead the Packaging Group, giving support to the water and gas product teams, as well as spearheading green initiatives by developing environmentally-smart packaging and processes.

BrassCraft’s 62 years of leadership reflects a corporate culture that embraces change. “Innovation is the best form of adaptation,” says Jollay. “We always keep our eyes open to what works and what could work better, and apply that philosophy to our products, our process and our people.”
